I'm thinking the car broke down. It is no easy feat to get a car onto a flatbed without the key.

I play the DEMO all the time....its a blast.
I may buy this, but have too many other full length games to play at the moment.

There's something very wrong with this picture.
I've used Macs for ages, and I've had excellent service from Snow Leopard under very strenuous computing.

The biggest drawback with your current machine is the 3GB memory. Lightroom is much happier with 4GB or more. I used to have a late 2006 MBP15 and LR was sluggish with 3GB.
I should think the faster CPU will have a much greater effect on performance than the GPU. GPU speed is really only relevant for games and video rendering.
I have a personal preference for matte displays. I used to own a black Santa Rosa Macbook and I was not happy with the display. It was largely useless unless you were in a location where you could control reflections and glare. The added screen real estate in the 15 is useful too, and I felt constrained by the resolution of the 13" display. I have traveled with my MBP15 to Asia a couple of times, and its size and weight are easily manageable on trips.

You phone searching for a tower to "talk" to is VERY hard on the battery. This is likely your major problem.

sorry, basically I'm trying to initiate a connection to my server in application:didFinishLaunchingWithOptions: this is to instantiate my cookie that im using to sync devices to my app, if someone gives out their register code then their device will be bounced off my server when the new device with their reg code syncs... thus not allowing them to make queries to the database.., if there is no response then connection:didFailWithError: will catch the fail error and the action sheet should pop up on the main screen.
Thanks for the hep will have another look at my code with your response in mind.
EDIT:
so found a solution in some sample code refereed from in the reference documentation.
it was as easy as swapping
[actionSheet showInView:[UIApplication mainWindow]]
with
[actionSheet showInView:self.window];
I also realized that i was calling the wrong name for the window as it was initialized as window in my .h file not mainWindow... think i need a nap .. :)

iPhone. You have a 13" MBP so I think it goes better with a iPhone since that is something you can put in your pocket and take anywhere.
I just picked up my first smart phone, the iPhone 3Gs for only $49 and it is the single coolest gadget I ever had in my life (over 50 years). Since I upgraded my AT&T service I get to get my iPhone I am entitled to another phone upgrade within 12 months (else it would be 18 months). My thinking was that I need to get to know my iphone and in a year I would be eligible to get a iPhone 5. My $49 3GS is fine and I don't miss the iphone 4 features but I am hoping that the iPhone 5 is both 4" screen and will work on AT&T with 4G for faster.... Those two phone upgrades was useful and helped me opt out of a iPhone 4 last month.
I really can't see needing an ipad with a MBP and iPhone. If I had an iMac then a iPad and iPhone makes sense but if in any case an iPhone has become a life changing must have device that fits in my pocket

Official Apple anything is expensive.
Never buy memory/HDD upgrades etc. from Apple, that logo on the box will add about 75% to the real price.

Lol he looks like an old hippy teaching creative writing or something at a csu. He is so dangerous he has to be kept in solidary and the entire cuban inmate population had to jump him and tackle him to subdue him in the 80s prison riots -- because the federal govt wouldnt deal with the cubans if he was still lose. They even had to escort him recently in a Hanibal lector suit at some recent gag trials.

From http://www.redorbit.com/news/general/183822/heavy_security_set_for_aryan_brotherhood_trial/:
"Carter said defense lawyers could call Tommy Silverstein as a witness but warned the notorious Aryan Brotherhood leader known as "Terrible Tom" would be shackled in court "just like a 'Silence of the Lambs' character."
Silverstein killed a guard in 1983 at Marion federal prison in Illinois after slipping his handcuffs with the help of another gang member and pulling a concealed foot-long knife.
Silverstein, who has also been convicted of killing three other inmates, is the nation's most heavily guarded prisoner, according to prosecutors. He is confined to a special cellblock in the basement of Leavenworth Penitentiary in Kansas.
"He will come out here in chains and sit there in chains," Carter said in a pretrial hearing on Friday."

LABOR has been swept away by strong swings in NSW and Queensland, leaving Australia facing a hung Parliament with both houses to be controlled by independents and a surging Greens party.
Labor and the Coalition each fell short last night of winning the majority 76 seats needed to govern in their own right and last night both sides immediately started wooing the four independents and one Green who secured seats in the House of Representatives

You want Outlook2Mac
http://www.littlemachines.com/
It works very well. PM me if you want to buy my copy since I no longer need it.
I second Little Machines, it literally took me about 10 minutes to transfer everything perfectly. All attachments, etc. It also kept the organization of my messages (by folder), which was important for me.
It also transfers contacts and tasks very well. One good thing it does for contacts is append the category to the note text. Then when you import into Apple Address Book, you can do a quick find on the category name, and create a group for them. I thought I was going to have to manually re-categorize, but Little Machines saved my life!!!

Hi!
I need some advice on a good guide to selecting a font to go with logos or illustrations pleeease :) I've become quite proficient in illustrator and even made some money, but more often than not I pick a naff font which doesn't do my image any favours.
I have a good selection on my mac, but I'm looking for somewhere or someone that can provide a useful guide...or is it just personal taste? I need to get away from Myriad Pro (I blame apple for that)
Thanks in advance for any help :D

then when it is connected, it will force a restore. This is different as it does a complete wipe, and you will need to resync every app. I would try it without applying a backup file.

Hey guys. We know that the MB 2008 only adress 6GB RAM even the 8GB kit is installed (OWC wrote this) if more than 6GB memory is inserted then the machine would lag horribly

Someone told me this :http://www.macrumors.com/2011/03/07/secret-firmware-update-unlocks-support-for-8-gb-ram-on-late-2008-notebooks/

Mac OS 10.6.7 2.0GHz 2GB stock RAM 160GB 5400RPM stock HDD

I have seen it mentioned by other folders, but I have no idea where to begin. I imagine it's similar to building a home server, but I have never done that before either.
I'm asking because I have some old 'puter parts lying around doing nothing useful at the moment, that I thought I could build into something that would sit in a quiet corner of the house and fold.
Any suggestions?

"Apple is allegedly building two iPhone 5 models in place of a scheduled fall publish. According to an employee of an Apple part supplier, in attendance is good sense to believe with the purpose of the iPhone 5 will really be two devices: A standard and pro copy."
http://www.geohot.ca/2011/05/apple-creating-two-iphone-5-prototypes.html
Would these versions be welcomed or not?
