All Employment Preference categories except for Third �Other Workers� have been made �Current� for July. This has been done in an effort to generate increased demand by Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) for adjustment of status cases, and to maximize number use under the annual numerical limit. However, all readers should be alert to the possibility that not all Employment preferences will remain Current for the remainder of the fiscal year. Should the rate of demand for numbers be very heavy in the coming months, it could become necessary to retrogress some cut-off dates for September, most likely for China-mainland born and India, but also possibly for Mexico and Philippines. So you are saying that "before" you came to US there were not much fake resumes. But after you arrived, number of fake resumes have increased. The only qualifier that highlights the change between the two situations is your coming to US, isn't it? My question to you is, why are creating all these fake resumes? Why did you come and why don't you go back? Maybe that will stop all these fake resumes and rest of us all will be back to our good old days.

This is welcome news. However, we should focus on the broader goals of our organization.
Retrogression is far from over. Stop for a moment, celebrate and take the necessary action sure, but do not forget that we have to make efforts so that even folks who come later do not face this issue.
Also dont forget we are not out of the woods yet. The visa numbers and country quota issue along with FBI name check has to be solved ASAP.
However, I would certainly take this opportunity to thank Core, esp WaldenPond, Pappu and logiclife for their commitment and leadership. Core : We are with you and will continue to contribute even when our problems are solved. We should be united and be strong so that we are heard and justice is brought to all of us.

37 have indicated their willingness to attend or bring others on the thread. Poll tally is for DC rally is 64 (most of the 37 included). If these folks bring their spouses and kids, using US Census formula of 2.5 per family, we are looking at 150 now. That is in the two days of the weekend.

I don't understand why people are waiting for approval from IV? We are doing nothing illegal if that is what you are afraid of! Or are you afraid that the USCIS will come after you because you sent them Flowers???
If you think sending flowers are a good idea then send them PLEASE! Currently people have ordered flowers with a delivery date of July 10th. It will be great if USCIS gets them all on the same day!
Don't wait for approval from IV! You are all individuals you can make the decision for yourselves!

When i contacted USCIS Immigration Officer ( not the customer rep) they acknowledged delays and said it may go through middle of November unless we seek highlights from higher officials to print our cards at a different center or get an urgent fix we are going no where... Once I send this info to IV Core WINDOW IS CLOSED on this topic./..

Ok I agree, I also think to go back to India in long run. May be after 50 years.
We are discussing the idea of going back to India in the long term, however you are trying to confuse the discussion by talking about short term and why we are in the US today. I am sure everyone has different reasons for why they came to the US and why they are here today. But to generalize that if one is living in the US, he necessarily does not want to go back is foolish.
As I said earlier, going back is a matter of personal choice. However, what I take objection to is you trying to force your idea on everyone that US is better than India. There are pros & cons to living in both places. And people who do end up going back will do so having accepted the cons of living in India.

My attorney submitted the RFE response today by Fedex. She submitted the University letter and Trustforte Academic evaluation. She said she is confident about this evidence we submitted. I am incredibly nervous....

We travelled to India Via Frankfurt (changed flights at the Frankfurt) with Air India few day back , same airline entire journey. We travelled without a transit visa and presented our AP and EAD card whenever we had to clarify our visa situation. But make sure to talk to the airlines you are flying with about any specific requirements. Most of the times it has to do with the lack of knowledge and clarity on the side of airline staff.
