My Labor started showing "CERTIFIED" from Jul, 12th. Called the Legal Department today to check if they have received the hard copy, but was told they are still waiting. Also asked to see if DOL started using e-mail option as well to notify about the adjudication.
Hopefully, they should receive the certified copy atleast by the end of this week.

When I said this news, everyone jumped over me and pounded me with Agni and Trishul missles from every corner I could imagine and made me look like a fool. I did not respond at all after some time. It is my duty to share the information what I got from my lawyer. If others want to ignore it, it is upto them. But they did not, instead started mocking at my post. EAD holders , despite all the hype and hoopla, are temporary too - as EAD is a temporary work authorization. EAD is not a 'virtual GC ' as it's claimed by some.
Read requirement (2) in MI SOS rule and the accepted documents. Does it include EAD anywhere?
By temporary immigrants, do they mean F-1/H-1B visa holders? I am assuming EAD holders are excluded since they are NOT temporary immigrants or non-immigrants.
It is still very unfortunate, though.

This thread was a specific case with 3 year engineering degree holders. Unfortunately there are not that many out there. This discussion was not a general EB2 VS EB3 discussion and I wish Moderators kept this thread as is for easy identification. I had to spend about a week on all forums to get the info about the 3 year engg degree cases and it is very difficult to get info on this specific group.

I hate to call knowing that my case would not be there in the system, but still I called. The customer service rep was very polite and transferred me to immigration officer.
She asked for my A# and to which service center I sent. I said I dont have an A# and sent my app to Nebraska. She said, they are receiving lot of apps this month and Nebraska is planning to finish up entering all the July received cased by Aug 1st. Even it is done by Aug 1st, she said I should expect to receive my receipt notice by end of Aug. I did not had any other questions.

We dont know USCIS will accept 485 appls between July 2nd filer and july 16th filer.
As per notice on 17th July - They will start from this date to accept application....BUT NOT CLEAR !!! - maybe we are getting this some info related between July 2nd and July 16th filer

I applied AP for me and my wife @ TSC on Sep 23, 2009. Recd approval eMails today (Oct 8, 2009) and should get papers in few days.

Be practical and tell me whether you think the kids of those guys have moved back to India. I DONT THINK SO. Again if you beleive he moved his base alone to India without his children, then he is again in our situation having kids in other part of the planet.

I am not sure what could have prompted USCIS to revisit the old case. Is the company sponsering GC have a clean history with USCIS?
